Garden Rose Subscription (4 weeks)
Join us as we take in the beauty of our first flush of roses for the season!
Join the Northshore Flower Club, and get sustainably grown flowers delivered right to your door through our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) option!
This rose bouquet subscription starts in the spring (usually April / May) and runs every week for a month (4 rose bouquets).
Each bouquet will feature a variety of our fresh, seasonal garden roses, grown right here in St. Tammany Parish using sustainable methods and organic principles.
About garden roses:
Garden roses are more delicate, fragrant, and unique than standard roses that you find in most grocery stores, and we hope you’ll love them as much as we do!
Our garden roses are grown sustainably in St. Tammany Parish.
They can be expected to last 5-6 days in the vase.
To maximize vase life, keep roses out of direct sunlight, away from heat sources, and away from ripening fruit and veggies. Change the water every 1-2 days and give them a fresh snip after a couple of days in the vase.
To maximize vase life, your roses will be delivered when the buds are still fairly tight. They will also come with guard petals still on for added protection (they can later be removed if you desire). Your roses will slowly open over the course of a couple of days.
You might expect to see some of these varieties in your bouquet: Princesse Charlene de Monaco, Koko Loko, Honey Dijon, Bliss Parfuma, Francis Meilland, Bolero.
Your first bouquet will come in a vase. For each subsequent delivery, please leave your previous week’s vase clean on your porch for us to swap out. Your flowers will be delivered to your home and left on a porch or in another shady area. (We don’t recommend leaving your flowers outside for too long.)
To keep your bouquet fresh for as long as possible:
Keep your flowers out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources,
Keep away from ripening fruits and veggies,
Change the water every 1-2 days,
Remove spent blooms.
Flower Club FAQs:
How do I get my flowers? We are offering two options for Northshore Flower Club in 2025 - delivery and on farm pick up in Folsom, LA.
What do I need to know about delivery? If you select the delivery option, the cost includes delivery to Folsom, Covington, Mandeville, Abita Springs, Goodbee, and Madisonville addresses. (If you live outside of these areas and are interested in joining Northshore Flower Club as a delivery subscriber, please email us at flowers@figandoak.com.
Can I come pick up my flowers at any time? We will have a designated day each week for flower pick up. (These will generally be on Saturdays.) A self-serve flower stand will have flowers ready for pickup.
When will my flowers be ready? Rose subscriptions usually commence in April or May, with the first flush of garden roses. As we get close (generally 2-3 weeks out) to first flowers being ready, we will send an email out with the tentative plan for subscription, including estimated first delivery/pick up date and/or any potential changes to the delivery schedule (e.g., if there is a public holiday or anticipated weather event during your planned subscription weeks). Early each week, we will send an email to the address we have on file confirming the day/time that flowers will delivered or be ready for pick up.
Can I purchase a Northshore Flower Club membership as a gift for someone else? Yes! Flower Club makes a great gift for friends and family on the Northshore. Please let us know if it’s a gift when you check out. We won’t email the gift recipient until 2-3 weeks before the first bouquet when we email all Northshore Flower Club members.
What if I am out of town for one of the weeks? If you’re out of town for one of the weeks of flower delivery, you can opt to have someone else take your bouquet for you (we will deliver to another location in your area) or (if flowers are available) you can push your week out to when you’re back in town. For option 2, we ask that you limit this to one week during your subscription month.
Can I cancel my Northshore Flower Club membership? You may cancel your membership up to 4 weeks before your first delivery. We ask that cancellations are not made within 4 weeks of delivery as we only offer a limited number of memberships at a time. Within 4 weeks of your first delivery, you may opt to transfer your membership to someone else in your delivery area.
Can I request certain flowers in my weekly delivery? We are a small flower farm, and we only grow flowers that are appropriate for our seasons, so we are unable to accommodate requests for specific flowers in our Northshore Flower Club memberships.
What is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)? CSA allows consumers to purchase locally grown, seasonal products directly from farmers through a “share” or subscription during the growing season. It’s a great way to receive local products, support local businesses, and be a part of your community.
What happens if flowers aren’t ready? We are a small, sustainably run farm. As such, there is always a risk that weather and seasonality changes may prevent us from having flowers ready on a given week. If so, we will still honor the number of bouquets in your purchase, but we may have to push out your subscription accordingly. Alternatively, we can work with you to issue a refund if necessary.
